On January 31, 2019, the first eco-innovation workshop was held for the eco-innovation of the FertileCity project as part of the research of the doctoral student Ana María Manríquez Altamirano, who coordinated the session together with the PhD. Jorge Sierra. The objective was to generate ideas for the material valorization of tomato stems. The participants were specialists in urban agriculture, product design, alternative materials for construction, biopolymers and ecomaterials.
