Sirah is an inovative proof-of-concept of the previous projects Fertilecity I and Fertilecity II. Following the lessons learned about the resource efficiency use on the greenhouse rooftops, Sirah aims to replicate the outcomes through an integrated smart urban agriculture station and make it accessible and affordable to people. A new spin-off will be in charge of the modules production and will gather the knowledge acquired from the research.

The project comprises the following stages:

• Launch a spin-off company: TECTUM
• Design a feasible and manufacturable module that emulates the already existing prototype in ICTA-UAB rooftop greenhouse.
• Create a smart operation control for agricultural systems Develop and validate an irrigation model.
• Validate through pilot experiences.

Evaluation of the product from a technical, economical, environmental and social perspective.

• Knowledge transfer for the improvement of agricultural systems with the creation of a spin-off company or similar business entity.
• Creation of the SIRAH prototype to reduce resources (water, energy, nutrients, emissions) for the implementation of urban agriculture with the creation of an intelligent irrigation system.
